A/Professor Rodney Petersen (MBBS MBA FRANZCOG Grad Dip (Uni teaching)) is a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology.He has been the Director and Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in teaching hospitals in Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia. Most recently he was Director of Women’s and Newborn Services at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in South Australia. He has taught medical students, junior doctors and specialist trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for many years.
A/Professor Petersen is actively involved in Colposcopy training for specialist trainees within the RANZCOG and is a Course Director for the College of Surgeons in the Emergency Management of Surgical Trauma courses. He has completed three additional years of sub specialty training in gynaecological oncology and has been an examiner for the Australian Medical Council.
A/Professor Petersen has published 70 original research articles and conference abstracts covering many aspects of women’s health (view at https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Rodney_Petersen ).
A/Professor Petersen has held several prestigious roles within the medical profession including Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning, Medical Co-Lead of Transforming Health South Australia and a Board member of an Area Health Service.
A/Professor Petersen is also a Colonel in the Australian Army. He has performed active medical military overseas service. This service included deployment to Banda Aceh following the Boxing Day Tsumani and involvement in the Pacific Partnership with the US Military that provided free O&G healthcare services to disadvantaged women in the Pacific. A/Professor Petersen accepts referrals in his areas of special clinical interest. Dr. Robert Boland-Freitas MBBS FRACP Neurologist and NeurophysiologistDr. Boland-Freitas is a Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist. He completed training in Neurology at Blacktown, Westmead, Calvary Bruce and The Canberra Hospitals. He subsequently completed subspecialty training in Clinical Neurophysiology at Royal North Shore Hospital. He has an appointment as a Staff Specialist Neurologist and is the Director of the Neurophysiology Department at Blacktown Hospital, Sydney, NSW. He has a particular interest in neuromuscular disorders, including the muscular dystrophies. Professor Julie Quinlivan (MBBS PHD FRANZCOG) Obstetrics and GynaecologyProfessor Julie Quinlivan (MBBS PHD FRANZCOG) is a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology. She has been a senior clinician in teaching hospitals in South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia and has taught medical students, junior doctors and specialist trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for many years.
